Student taught at Mendell Elementary, a school within the BPS system in a fifth grade classroom. Designed and taught lessons in ELA and Social Studies, as well as worked with small groups of students and received mentoring from two BPS teachers.

Mary McDowell Friends School
Taught a homeroom class of 2nd/3rd graders with learning disabilities, as well as a small Orton Gillingham reading group, and small math group.
2022-2023
Worked in a classroom of twenty 3rd grade students, ensuring a safe and joyful classroom community for all. Led the teaching of math curriculum in my classroom, as well as led a small reading group.

Graduated with a BA in music, with distinction. While in school was the president of the Kenyon College Chamber Singers, captain of the Kenyon College Rugby Club, and assistant conductor for the Symphonic Wind Ensemble. In addition, served on the Title IX Committee and Student Council. Received two awards for musical performance and service to the community.

Orton-Gillingham Training
Completed a 40-hour Orton-Gillingham course as a part of my training for my job at Mary McDowell Friends School. Taught a five days a week Orton-Gillingham small group to four students during the school year.
Completing my graduate degree in elementary education while student teaching at schools in the Greater Boston area and subbing in an elementary school for grades 1-4.

Completed Hochman Writing training and implemented lesson plans and assessments throughout the school year.

Participated in the Beginning Teachers Institutes, which consisted of in person workshops, as well as peer feedback groups, during which we received feedback and reflected on our practice.
